Welcome to Bucks County Farm Fresh!

Hello Folks,
It is with great sadness that I tell you that Bucks County Farm Fresh is unable to provide you with fresh local food this season.  I was given a great opportunity by some former colleagues that I simply could not decline in this current economy. I spent the last six months exploring options to keep the service going to no avail. I did identify someone willing to deliver the packages; leaving farm/product pick ups and package sorting unaddressed.
That being said, I have not closed the doors completely. I am open to suggestions to keep things going. I am willing to treat this as a food club, where all members have an interest in keeping things going. Perhaps folks would be interested in “hosting” bulk drop offs where they and some friends/neighbors can share orders. Logistics would need to be worked out.
I sincerely apologize for keeping you waiting so long. I will gladly direct anyone to other local services.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve you.
I truly hope this is not the end.

Sincerely,
Michael Kemmerer

I echo Mike, in thanking everyone who helped to support us. We truly wanted to help spread the local produce to everyone who would appreciate it. I will miss seeing you all.
I wish there was a way that we could continue on.

Sincerely,
Velga Kenigs

We are committed to delivering you fresh locally-produced products. Bucks County is fortunate to have more than 60 locations that offer fresh vegetables, meat, cheeses, honey, and seasonal specialties.

How does it work?

We gather the freshest available products from local farms, and assemble a complete package for you. We will deliver the items to your home, office, or restaurant.  Please see Our Services to see how we can bring these products to you. There is no sign up fee and no membership requirements. The only requirement is that you order one of our packages: the Essentials Package, Fruit & Vegetable (full), or the Fruit & Vegetable (half). Once a package has been ordered, you can order any additional items posted in the Order Here section of our web-site. Visit the Our Services and Agreement pages to learn more about our products and services.

Why should you buy local produce?

You can’t get food that is any fresher. Why buy food that has been shipped across the country or from South America, when you can get better quality items straight from your local farmers?

Long shipping times lead to the degradation of nutrients, as well as the burning of fossil fuels when transporting the products.

Buying locally benefits you, the farmers, and your community.  When you buy locally, 90% of the food dollars go back to the farm. If you buy at a large supermarket chain, only 7% of your food dollars stay in the local community.

About Us

Michael Kemmerer and Velga Kenigs are trained biologists with a knowledge and passion for food.

We want to share our enjoyment of fresh food with you. We want to make it easy for you to improve the quality of your diet, while supporting local farms.

We hope you will enjoy the fresh food, as much as we do.  Please see our recipes for suggestions about what to do with the vegetables that you may not be familiar with.  That’s part of the fun of receiving random seasonal items.  It allows for culinary creativity from Bucks County farm products.
